Systems Operations Engineer

Responsibilities

• Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of server, storage, and cloud infrastructure across production and non-production environments.
• Monitor system performance using established tools and processes, escalating issues when necessary to ensure availability and SLA adherence.
• Support automation efforts by maintaining scripts and tools for provisioning, configuration management, monitoring, and incident handling under guidance from senior engineers.
• Participate in troubleshooting activities and contribute to root-cause analysis led by more senior team members.
• Help maintain system documentation, runbooks, and operational standards, ensuring information is accurate and up-to-date.
• Assist in implementing backup and disaster recovery procedures and help execute business continuity processes as directed.
• Collaborate with Security, DevOps, Network Engineering, and Application teams to support platform stability and cross-functional initiatives.
• Support the lifecycle management of infrastructure components, including patching, upgrades, and routine maintenance tasks.
• Participate in the on-call rotation and assist with incident response activities.
• Contribute to evaluating new tools and processes, providing recommendations as part of team discussions.
• Support the deployment and configuration of infrastructure solutions.
• Assist with automation tasks and routine systems management activities.
• Participate in troubleshooting and support senior engineers during root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on operational tasks and project work.
• Contribute input during technology evaluations led by senior staff.
• Participate in SAFe/Agile ceremonies as a contributor to iterative delivery cycles.
• Assist with capacity reviews and support infrastructure planning efforts.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in systems administration, operations, or a related technical role.
• Working knowledge of Linux and/or Windows server.
