Responsibilities
- Inspect Campus Systems, including HVAC equipment, pumps, condensers, compressors, and electrical and domestic water services.
- Start up, regulate, and shut down equipment.
- Ensure equipment operates safely, economically, and within limits by monitoring meters, gauges, and computerized controls.
- Watch and listen to machinery and routinely check safety devices.
- Record data in logs and identify potential problems.
- Be ready and motivated to learn new job skills through on-the-job training (OJT) and professional training classes.
Requirements
- Possess a High School Diploma or HSE.
- Hold a valid Driver's License.
- Be willing to work indoors and out and tolerate working in confined spaces with uncomfortable temperature variations.
- Be physically capable of accessing various locations on campus, involving walking and climbing stairs, and lifting and moving up to 50 pounds.
- Have strong technical writing, verbal communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Be computer proficient.
