- Validate DSP-, retimer-, and equalizer-based designs against electrical, functional, and interoperability requirements
- Assess PCA behavior within the cable module including power, resets, control interfaces, and signal integrity impacts
- Validate system-level interactions between cable PCAs and switches, NICs, and host platforms
- Lead investigation of interoperability issues involving active cable PCAs
- Drive root-cause analysis for link failures, marginal performance, power-up issues, and qualification escapes
- Review and evaluate PBCA schematics, layouts, and design tradeoffs impacting signal integrity, power, thermals, and reliability
- Define validation strategies and best practices specific to PCA-based cable modules
- Partner with firmware integration, networking, SI, and data analysis engineers
- Provide technical leadership during customer interoperability escalations
- Mentor engineers and influence validation standards across the Interop organization
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
