Systems Integration Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and validate vehicle electrical systems
• Review and approve device transmittals
• Develop vehicle-level logical schematics
• Conduct design/compatibility reviews
• Define fusing and grounding strategies
• Support system-level validation/diagnostics
• Provide technical support for prototype and pre-production builds
• Perform System Level tests for ECU integration by flashing ECU software and calibration files
• Configure, command, and analyze self-test results, and perform functional tests

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 3 years of experience with electrical schematics design
• Must have experience on systems engineering, leading or being part of a team defining and developing components interfaces and interactions
• Able to present a logical approach to decompose a problem into small elements that can be tested/checked for their contribution on the failure mode
• Design and development of specific electrical system schematics
• Support of electrical device transmittal process
• Development of system FMEA and DVP documentation
• Prototype breadboard validation and sign-off
• Prototype vehicle build support, including software flashing, configuration, and troubleshooting
• Compatibility reviews of module and wiring interfaces
• Production plant build support

Preferred

• Master’s degree
• Background on harness design
• Electrical schematics design
• CAN Network experience
• ECU software flashing and diagnostics
