Systems Engineers

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop, analyze, and manage system requirements throughout the engineering lifecycle.
• Support requirements decomposition, traceability, verification planning, and configuration management.
• Cook up technical activities across Government, FFRDC, UARC, and industry partners.
• Develop engineering documentation including Systems Engineering Plans, Interface Control Documents, Requirements Documentation, Verification Cross Reference Matrices, Technical Briefings, and Participation in technical interchange meetings, design reviews, and working groups.
• Conduct trade studies, engineering assessments, and risk analyses.
• Sustain technical baseline management and change control processes.
• Assist with integration planning, system verification, validation, and operational transition activities.
• Prepare executive-level briefings and decision-support materials.
• Collaborate with program managers, chief engineers, and operational stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
• Support enterprise systems engineering efforts across multiple Space Force mission areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related technical discipline (4 additional years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree).
• 5 years of systems engineering experience supporting DoD, Intelligence Community, or Federal programs.
• Experience with systems engineering lifecycle processes.
• Experience developing or managing requirements.
• Experience supporting technical integration across multiple organizations.
• Experience developing engineering documentation and technical briefings.
• Experience working directly with Government customers.
• Mandatory current active Secret Security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance with in-scope SSBI/T5 background investigation and obtain and maintain Sensitive Compartmented Information and Special Access Program accesses.
