The selected candidate will be a member of a specialized engineering team responsible for ensuring and maintaining system performance requirements, providing system problem/anomaly resolution support, data trending, and performance analysis. The system engineering team provides program/unique expertise to support maintenance activities, resolve complex problems, and support the operations certification training program.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering tasks including system dynamics, analysis, and determination.
• Develop and improve operations processes, products, and tools; investigate and diagnose unexpected system signatures.
• Support coordination and execution of system maintenance tasks.
• Provide technical feedback to the baseline system development/maintenance team to improve delivered processes and tools.
• Coordinate across multiple sites, contractor organizations, the customer, and external system partners to accomplish tasks.
• Maintain and develop code to update or produce tools supporting system operations or specialized analysis.
• Develop, maintain, and upgrade training materials, including providing classroom lectures on fundamentals and processes.
• Complete program-specific system training and specialized training on unique knowledge, processes, tools, and tasks.
• Provide shared on-call support (typically 1 week every month) and work off-nominal hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and shifts.
• Work as an effective member of a team, self-motivated with minimal supervision.
• Potential for extended TDYs or PCS to the United Kingdom.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 8 years of prior related engineering experience or equivalent.
• Experience with coding/scripting fundamentals.
• Experience with Agile and DevOps tools and practices.
• Experience with Radio Frequency (RF), Digital, Power, and/or Communication systems in a large 24x7 operational environment.
• Experience with technical leadership and/or personnel leadership.
• Active and transferable TS/SCI with CI Poly U.S. government issued security clearance required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

• Experience delivering presentations.
• Proactively completing assigned tasks and identifying/working real-time/high-priority tasks without direction.
• Managing and resolving large system anomalies in a team environment.
• Developing and maintaining operational procedures, products, and training materials.
• Experience in system dynamics, analysis, and determination.
• Advanced coding/scripting experience.
• Developing and maintaining tools to support analysis and tasks.

Pay

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
