Systems Engineering Manager
About the role
Texas Instruments is seeking a Systems Manager within the System Engineering Marketing (SEM) organization. In this role, you will manage a team of system engineers, who in turn provide customers with complete semiconductor solutions for Test & Measurement applications. You may also work with Business Units & sales and marketing functions to determine priorities, and then direct and monitor the team to provide reference designs or otherwise demonstrate the integration of multiple products within an end-equipment solution. Additional job functions include providing technical expertise directly to large-volume customers or providing solutions for the general market. Providing inputs for future product development based on customer application specifications and market trends is key. This is a supervisory role with direct reports.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the test & measurement system team
- Define and drive system-level requirements for test and measurement applications, translating customer needs into reference designs, collaterals, or product roadmap requirements
- Serve as technical liaison with key customers and field teams, leveraging system engineers for application support
- Collaborate with TI's product lines to deliver comprehensive solutions
- Monitor competitive landscape and identify market trend inflection points
- Provide technical expertise directly to large-volume customers
- Work with marketing to provide solutions for the general market
- Provide inputs for future product development based on customer application specifications and market trends
Qualifications
- Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, ECE, Computer Engineering or related field, 8 years of engineering experience, system-level knowledge of ATE & data acquisition systems (precision and high-speed)
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with simulation tools and PCB design, strong signal chain technical skills for Test & Measurement sectors, ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to quickly ramp on new systems and processes, demonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively across functions, ability to take initiative and drive for results, strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
