Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in an STEM discipline
- Experience as a team lead
- Experience with agile development
- Experience with tactical system development program experience, customer interface, requirements derivation/allocation, integration and test planning and execution
- Understanding of Technology Readiness Levels (TRL) and their application
- Participation or leadership in major design reviews
- Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance, Interim Clearance required prior to start
Job Description
The MFC Chelmsford site seeks a Systems Engineering Manager to oversee the development of the systems engineering activities across multiple programs. You will be responsible for leading and developing a systems engineering integration and test team and briefing program leadership and customers as needed.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Defining systems architecture
- Workforce planning, development, and retention
- Personnel performance, compensation and promotion planning
- Oversight of cost, technical, schedule across contracts
- Input and oversight for new business capture contract proposals
- Understanding team performance and motivating quality improvement across contracted efforts
- Interfacing with external Lockheed teams to meet commitments
Desired Skills
- Knowledge in missile systems design, development and test
- Knowledge in common components, like antennas, embedded processors, thermal solutions, cybersecurity solutions, tactical data links, and similar
- Able to work in a rapid development environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent leadership skills in previous assignments, including building relationships with team members, direct reports, and stakeholders
- Experience in Systems Engineering input for Proposals and development of basis of estimates (BOEs)
- Experience in Cost Account Management and Earned Value Management
- Experience in MBSE tools and implementation
