Systems Engineering Manager
Position Overview
As our Systems Engineering Manager, you will lead a dynamic and growing team of approximately 12 Systems Engineers at our Advanced Technologies office in Lynchburg, Virginia. This position offers relocation benefits.
Required Qualifications
Education: A bachelor’s, master’s, or Doctor of Science degree in engineering, physics, chemistry, or mathematics is required.
Experience: A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in Nuclear and/or Aerospace industry is required.
Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of experience mentoring, coaching, guiding and leading teams is required.
Experience: A minimum of three (3) years in a Systems Engineering role is required.
Experience: Must have demonstrated experience in one or more areas of designing, developing, testing, or delivering systems throughout a program’s development life cycle.
Experience: Must have knowledge of military and/or NASA component specifications, design processes, and hardware test/verification procedures.
Experience: Must have demonstrated experience or interest in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
Experience: Must have demonstrated leadership for driving issue resolution and mitigating technical risk.
Skills
Proven ability to forge effective working relationships across various organizational levels.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated through technical reports and presentations.
Experience with Earned Value Management.
Experience with DOORs and/or Cameo.
Citizenship
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with high-temperature gas reactor technologies.
Knowledge of quality program requirements including ISO 9001, AS9100, and NQA-1.
Experience working with U.S. Government customers (e.g., DOD, DOE, NASA).
