Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver lectures, assignments, and assessments in alignment with course objectives and department standards.
- Facilitate student learning through clear instruction, meaningful discussions, and real-world applications.
- Evaluate and grade student work in a timely, fair, and constructive manner.
- Provide academic support through office hours or scheduled meetings.
- Collaborate with the department chair and faculty to ensure course consistency and quality.
- Submit final grades and any required reports by established deadlines.
- Stay current with developments in the field and incorporate relevant content into the course as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required; a Master’s or Ph.D. in Systems Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline is strongly preferred.
- Professional experience in systems engineering or a related industry.
- Prior teaching experience at the college or graduate level is preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to engage and support a diverse student population.
Additional Information
This is a part-time, non-tenure-track position. Courses may be taught in-person, online, or in a hybrid format, depending on program needs. Adjunct appointments are made on a semester-by-semester basis.
Compensation
The compensation range for this position is as follows:
- Lecturer Equivalent: $8,000
- Senior Lecturer Equivalent: $9,200
- Assistant Professor Equivalent: $9,200
- Associate Professor Equivalent: $10,300
- Professor Equivalent: $11,450
- Professor Equivalent "Distinguished": $12,000
