Systems Engineer, Vehicle OS

This is an in-office role based at an Applied Intuition office. Full-time employees are expected to work primarily from the office five days a week, with flexibility for occasional remote work or adjusted schedules as needed.
About the Role
We are seeking a Systems Engineer with strong robotics and software expertise to create and manage system requirements for a new product. This role will shape the technical direction of a strategically important project, ensuring the system meets intended requirements and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage full system-level and software-level requirements for the overall built system.
- Create system and software requirements, defining system bounds, capabilities, and functional features.
- Convert customer needs into system requirements and devise operational objectives for the system.
- Manage validation and verification of requirements at the system and software level.
- Derive features from customer user journeys and use Cameo to build, maintain, and analyze functional and logical architecture.
- Ensure traceability of system artifacts across user journeys, features, system requirements, subsystem requirements, and test cases.
- Collaborate with developers daily to guide technical implementation and align design with intended requirements.
- Define processes for ASPICE level 2 compliance.
- Work with the QA team to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Configure requirements management tool Polarion and architecture management tool Cameo for compliance with industry processes.
- Ensure end-to-end traceability across all toolchains.
- Define variants management for Vehicle OS products.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience with systems engineering, including system requirements, functional decomposition, analysis, and verification.
- 2+ years of experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approaches, methods, and techniques.
- Extensive experience with SysML and Cameo in the automotive, defense, or aerospace industry.
- Experience testing real-world systems with sensors and production-level hardware and compute.
- Experience with requirements validation and verification for subsystems and integrated system-level components.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
- Experience in both initial requirements and final system validation.
- Background in mechanical, electrical, and software engineering.
- Strong project management skills to ensure project deliverables stay on track.

Pay
Compensation for this role includes a base salary range of $150,000 to $220,000. The final base salary offered will be influenced by factors such as experience, credentials, educational attainment, skill level, interview performance, and the level and scope of the position. Benefits are subject to change and may vary based on jurisdiction of employment.
