About the role
We are looking for a skilled hands-on technical Systems Engineer with subject matter expertise in test and integration to contribute to our Mission Engineering team. This role involves working with systems, software, and specialty engineers to develop and deploy technical solutions, ensuring high levels of availability, performance, and security. The project focuses on a mission-assured technical refresh of the CCIC2S Oracle database and RHEL operating environments, upgrading legacy systems to Oracle 19c and RHEL 9.7 while preserving full operational continuity.
Location will be north Colorado Springs initially, with occasional future work at Chidlaw and Peterson AFB.
Responsibilities
- Support systems engineering, test, and integration activities to ensure the installation matches the configuration-managed baseline and verify settings and operations.
- Develop and execute test activities to exercise high-level functions and capabilities, ensuring no unintended deviation from the test environment.
- Work with Linux, Windows, and virtual server environments, supporting Oracle-based infrastructure and applications.
- Perform test and integration activities, including troubleshooting installed software to identify and resolve issues related to system installation or incorrect settings.
- Troubleshoot common system installation, configuration, and operational issues, identifying appropriate corrective actions.
- Develop test and integration plans and procedures from sources such as functional and performance requirements and stated technical capabilities.
- Monitor the integration of test resources, execute detailed procedures, analyze results, and present findings orally and in writing.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject preferred.
- Minimum Active SECRET Clearance required.
- Experience with Linux, Windows, and Oracle environments; virtual server experience preferred.
- Knowledge of or practical experience with systems engineering and DoD test methodologies, milestones, and terminology.
- Experience with ITW/AA operational systems preferred.
- Knowledge of systems engineering milestones such as SRR, PDR, CDR, and TRR.
- Understanding of the Systems Engineering V-Model, requirements engineering, DoDAF, and ICDs.
- Network architecture and device knowledge, as well as scripting skills for data mining and formatted display of data, are a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with people within and external to the program.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Experience in troubleshooting small to large-scale infrastructure.
- Experience with off-the-shelf statistical analysis packages preferred.

Pay
Estimated pay range: $180,000 USD - $200,000 USD. Actual salary will be based on factors including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure, certification, and business needs.
