Responsibilities
- Provide improvements to the Government Flight Simulator – Minuteman III (GFS-M).
- Update a highly complex 6-Degree of Freedom simulation software tool.
- Develop, maintain, and modify software tools to evaluate vehicle performance.
- Provide engineering support to investigate off-nominal vehicle performance through Monte Carlo analysis.
- Perform mass properties evaluations in support of design change assessments.
- Perform Missile System, Missile Vehicle Body Dynamics, and performance analyses.
- Maintain physics-based engineering models and perform statistical analyses.
- Publish various briefing materials and reports.
Qualifications
- Ability to work full-time at Hill AFB in Utah.
- Active SECRET clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
- Bachelor of Science in an Engineering field from an ABET accredited program or Computer Science.
- 4+ years of direct related experience, including experience in developing and maintaining 6 Degree of Freedom software tools.
- Experience with analysis and software programming experience.
- Background in structural, thermal, fluids, dynamics analyses.
- Technical writing and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
- Matlab, C, C++, Python, Fortran, and/or Ada programming languages are desired.
- NASTRAN experience is desired.
