Systems Engineer - Mission Architecture and Systems Engineering

About the role

Support satellite systems, ground infrastructure, and mission operations within a mission architecture team.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain systems engineering artifacts.
• Ensure technical consistency across disciplines.
• Enforce standards and best practices.
• Support requirements management, verification, and lifecycle traceability.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to organize technical documentation and support system development phases.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizen.
• Degree in Systems, Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related fields.
• 1–3 years of engineering experience or relevant internships.
• Understanding of systems engineering principles, requirements management, and MBSE concepts including SysML.
• Experience with engineering tools such as requirements management platforms, MBSE tools, and configuration management software.
• Strong organizational, communication, and cross-disciplinary coordination skills.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, collaborative environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with requirements tools like IBM DOORS.
• Experience with MBSE tools such as Cameo or MagicDraw.
• Familiarity with engineering software like Ansys.
• Knowledge of standards such as ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288.
• Exposure to spacecraft, satellite payloads, ground systems, and mission operations.
