About the role

Join our team as a Systems Engineer (Mechanical) within the GMD Weapons Systems (GWS) division at Lockheed Martin. This role involves designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems for defense and security applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical systems for defense and security applications
• Conduct system-level analysis and simulations to optimize performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineers, electrical engineers, and project managers
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Document design processes and procedures for future reference

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and materials science
• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• Professional certifications in relevant fields are a plus
• Knowledge of aerospace or defense industry practices is beneficial

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work as needed
