Quantum Research International, Inc. (Quantum) is a certified DoD Contractor providing services and products to US/Allied governments and industry in various sectors including cybersecurity, space and ground support systems, aviation systems, missile systems, artificial intelligence/machine learning systems, and audio visual systems and services.

About the Role

Quantum Research is seeking to hire a Systems Engineer Level 5 to support a Government program that involves delivering technical solutions and products using emerging technologies for processing large amounts of data. The program focuses on commercial cloud technologies, high performance computing, and enterprise architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of all components of complex hardware/software systems.
  • Conduct systems requirements reviews, develop concepts of operation and interface standards, develop system architectures, and perform technical/non-technical assessments and management.
  • Interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
  • Communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.
  • Ensure the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the 25 process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288.
  • Advise and assist the Customer Program/Project Managers in planning and executing systems engineering activities by following appropriate acquisition policies, processes, and practices.
  • Facilitate Integrated Process Teams (IPTs) to ensure effective collaboration.
  • Provide testing support.
  • Technical and acquisition system engineering and technical assistance support.
  • Draft system engineering and architecture diagrams.

Requirements

  • TS/SCI clearance with full scope polygraph.
  • At least 10 years of demonstrated experience performing tasks related to one or more of the following areas:
  • Develop and deliver a work product in any of the ISO/IEC 15288 Process Areas.
  • Independently analyze and recommend alternatives for elements of project's technical design.
  • Assist in developing a new or innovative approach to a technical or engineering issue.
  • Assist in conducting an evaluation to determine its suitability for project implementation.
  • Analyse and propose appropriate engineering standards and processes for a project.
  • Supervise or coordinate the work of other contractor engineers or technicians on a project.
  • Lead contractor systems engineering activities for a project to include supervising the work of the project engineering staff and technicians.
  • Approve delivery of work products of multiple Processes Areas defined in the ISO/IEC 15288.
  • Independently make decisions regarding engineering issues and methodology for a project.
  • Brief stakeholders and present the status on all technical aspects of their project.

Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or GED plus nineteen (19) years of general systems engineering experience.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus fifteen (15) years of systems engineering experience.
  • A Master’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus thirteen (13) years of systems engineering experience.
  • A PhD in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus thirteen (13) years of systems engineering experience.
