Systems Engineer - Level 5

Responsibilities
- Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
- Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.
- Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
- Maintains existing operations procedures up-to-date, including lessons learned from real-time performance, and develops new procedures as required.
- Interfaces with program and customer personnel.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other STEM-related field with 12 years of relevant experience; 10 years with a Master's; 8 years with a PhD.
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance at the time of application and willingness to sit for a polygraph.
- Experience in systems engineering, requirements, and test plan/strategy.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with JIRA.
- Experience with Model Based Engineering (MBE) / Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and approach.
Pay
Primary salary range: $177,000.00 – $265,600.00. The above range represents a general guideline; base salary offers consider factors such as scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may also be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
