Systems Engineer, Lead
About the role
The Systems Engineer Lead role combines technical skills with big picture thinking to make an impact in simulation training environments for the United States military. You will lead a large team of engineers, manage projects, and ensure the reliability, security, and availability of critical systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering efforts, set priorities, manage workloads, and foster a culture of accountability, communication, and professional growth
- Coordinate day-to-day engineering activities, ensuring projects remain on schedule, and resolve obstacles impacting delivery
- Oversee engineering activities across software development, architecture design, network engineering, system engineering, information assurance
- Mentor engineers, develop processes that strengthen team performance, and help shape how work is executed across an enterprise network
- Develop and maintain strategic roadmaps for systems technology evolution
- Assist in establishing and enforcing system configuration, change management, and security policies across the server landscape
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in IT Engineering
- Experience working in the Special Operations Community
- Experience with capacity planning and performance monitoring
- Experience with managing complex projects
- Ability to lead design, architecture, and implementation of critical enterprise IT infrastructure
- Ability to develop and maintain strategic roadmaps for systems technology evolution
- Ability to assist in establishing and enforcing system configuration, change management, and security policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- TS/SCI clearance
Skills
- Expert-level administration and troubleshooting of Virtualization platforms
- Knowledge of Enterprise Storage and Backup solutions
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and identity management systems

Pay
The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD).
Schedule
Full-time and part-time employees working at least 20 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in Booz Allen’s benefit programs. Individuals that do not meet the threshold are only eligible for select offerings, not inclusive of health benefits.
