BAE Systems’ Precision Strike (PS) Business Area has an immediate opening for an Integration, Verification, & Validation (IV&V) Systems Engineer for the Precision Guidance and Sensing Solutions (PGSS) Product Line specializing in RF Seeker development programs. About the role

BAE Systems is seeking a Huntsville, AL-based mid-level Integration, Verification, & Validation (IV&V) Systems Engineer to join a growing team developing cutting-edge capabilities in multimodal/multifunction seekers. You will serve as a technical contributor on our integrated product team in the Precision Guidance and Sensing Solutions (PGSS) product line, making deeply impactful contributions to next-generation military autonomy. You will have the opportunity to participate in efforts across the full spectrum of technology maturation, ranging from Strategic Initiatives, IRAD/CRAD R&D prototypes, EMD, LRIP, and full-rate production systems.

You will work with other engineering staff and team leaders to grow knowledge and capabilities through engineering changes, lessons learned, insights, Agile retrospectives, and product/process improvements in Radar seeker technology. This role supports a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely, pending supervisor review and approval.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, develop, test, and/or verify Radar Systems, ideally in missile/munition seeker applications.
  • Apply lab environment testing concepts for Radar/RF-based systems.
  • Contribute to the design and evaluation of RF system designs, including baseband, RF, and millimeter-wave components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive value creation in next-generation military autonomy.
  • Participate in Agile processes, including retrospectives and product/process improvements.

Requirements

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of four years’ applicable experience in Radar systems integration, modeling, test, and/or diagnostics for active and passive system solutions.
  • Knowledgeable in weapons systems design, missile systems design, or weapons systems performance analysis.
  • Experience evaluating RF system designs.
  • US Citizen with an active Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced (MS or higher) degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or equivalent.
  • Understanding of radar modalities such as pulsed-Doppler, SAR, and HRR.
  • Experience in CPU, GPU, and FPGA Radar signal processing and control.
  • Experience in multi-modal Seeker development and test (EO/IR, SAL, GPS, VBN).
  • Familiarity with Digital Engineering, Model-Based Systems Engineering (SysML), Model-Based Agile Engineering (Value-Driven Digital Threads), and Agile Mindset principles, practices, and tools.
  • Background in phased array, beam control, signal processing, and seeker subsystem design.

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $86,460 – $146,982. Individual salaries are determined by factors including business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
