About the role

Sparton is an innovative defense contractor with a rich history in manufacturing high-quality sonobuoys. We seek a systems engineer who will lead system and subsystem level design, manage requirements, and engage with suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer interactions and define product requirements
• Execute trade studies and select optimal design approaches
• Evaluate supplier solutions and support workforce planning
• Develop and document system level requirements, CONOPS, and mission statements
• Manage requirements, analyze, and allocate for complex systems
• Document and communicate designs, results, and presentations
• Conduct system integration and verification/validation activities
• Support proposal development and provide regular communication
• Recommend improvements to systems engineering processes

Requirements

• 4-year degree in STEM or related field, or Master’s degree and 5+ years of experience
• Minimum 8 years of Systems Engineering experience
• Experience with JAMA Connect or similar tools
• Experience with Jira for issue tracking and Agile methodologies
• Certified in CMMI, AS 9100, and ISO 900

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required
• Security clearance required

Skills

• Adaptability to industry-standard modeling and requirements management tools
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with JAMA Connect or similar tools
• Experience with requirements derivatives
