Systems Engineer IV

Responsibilities

• Supporting the development and validation of system-level requirements to align with customer needs and mission objectives.
• Designing, integrating, and testing complex systems by preparing technical documentation, schematics, and system models.
• Monitoring system performance and conducting data analyses to identify areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate system modifications, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure compliance with contractual standards.
• Preparing detailed progress reports and maintaining comprehensive records of system configurations, testing procedures, and operational metrics.

Requirements

• Five or more years of experience in a system engineering role.
• One or more years of experience related to the design, development, integration, testing, and fielding of communication systems, networks, or technologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, IT, or a technical discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to support system engineering processes including requirements analysis, design evaluation, and integration in accordance with contract specifications.
• Proficient in utilizing systems engineering methodologies and analytical tools to assess system performance and recommend operational enhancements.
• Possess an active DoD Secret security clearance.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to interpret technical documents, schematics, and system models to ensure compliance with DoD and industry standards.
• Familiarity with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies (e.g., SysML, UML).
• Proficiency in simulation and analysis software (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink).
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams with an aptitude for troubleshooting and process improvement.

Skills

• Familiarity with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies (e.g., SysML, UML) to improve system documentation and design integrity.
• Proficiency in simulation and analysis software (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink) to assist in predictive system performance evaluations.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams with an aptitude for troubleshooting and process improvement.
