Systems Engineer - Infrastructure Services Division

About the role

BlueStorm Technologies is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our Infrastructure Services Team. This role involves supporting our clients, providing leadership to our technicians, and working with a wide variety of computer systems across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in networking fundamentals, systems security best practices, and excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Maintain existing and future network, server, and storage systems
• Handle multiple responsibilities and operate in a fast-paced environment
• Manage directly assigned tasks, provide on-call support, and address remote computing needs efficiently and professionally
• Research technical problems and solutions online
• Coordinate resources and project management
• Assist with the development, design, and deployment of interface projects
• Work independently or as part of a team to complete assignments

Requirements

• Solid knowledge of networking fundamentals
• Hands-on experience with a wide variety of computer systems spanning multiple platforms
• Familiarity with systems security best practices
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Motivation to keep up with industry trends
• Professional demeanor and excellent verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications

A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another related technical field of study is desirable, along with experience and certifications in related technologies.
