Systems Engineer II
About the role
Raytheon is seeking a Systems Engineer II to join the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SETC) Discipline in Tucson, AZ. This role supports a range of programs and offers opportunities to work across the full lifecycle of the product, from concept to deployment.
Responsibilities
- Update, maintain, and improve requirements.
- Develop system architecture and model using Model Based Systems Engineering.
- Conduct trade studies based on Concept of Operations.
- Collaborate with engineers of all disciplines.
- Perform Test Planning: Develop and implement test plans, procedures, integration, and verification documentation in both simulated and real-world environments and perform/execute the testing.
- Integrate Systems: Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to integrate hardware and software into tactical systems, evaluating their functionality and impact.
- Evaluate test results for requirements compliance.
- Create/modify documentation in support of design reviews and in preparation for test events.
- Perform Platform Integration, Flight Test, Qualification, Design Verification Execution.
- Troubleshoot and Analyze: Identify and resolve hardware, software, and system issues through detailed data analysis and debugging.
- Support Missions: Travel as needed to support mission execution at various locations including local RTX facilities, test sites, vendor facilities, and customer locations.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with systems requirements, systems integration, and/or systems test.
- Experience with DOORS, Cameo, or other digital engineering tools.
- Experience with model-based engineering and associated tools.
- Experience in developing and managing requirements.
- Experience working in an integration lab, test facility, or in the field, supporting integration and/or verification.
- Experience with evaluating systems using simulated environments.
- Experience with generating technical documentation, such as trade studies, test plans, procedures, or technical reports.
Qualifications
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
- Experience in the Defense Industry, and specifically with military systems; tactics, techniques, and procedures, as well as Department of Defense customer infrastructure experience.
- Understanding of the Systems Engineering product lifecycle.
- Experience with performing performance analysis and presenting analytical and technical material.
Benefits
The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD.
