Systems Engineer II
About The Role
MiniMed is seeking a Systems Engineer II with experience developing and supporting complex medical-device systems, including infusion pumps, subcutaneous infusion systems, medical mobile applications, implantable medical devices, and medical cloud services. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in systems engineering, requirements engineering and development, and design development with the ability to translate user and system needs into robust, compliant, and integrated solutions. Located in Northridge CA. Must be onsite 4 days per week/1 day remote.
Responsibilities
- Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, evaluates alternatives including cost and risk, supportability and analyses for total systems.
- Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
- Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Qualifications
- Requires practical knowledge and demonstrated competence within job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
- Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R.214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience.

Pay
Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD): $87,000.00 - $149,000.00. For roles located in California, Seattle WA, Washington DC, Boston MA, and New York City, the salary range is $97,000.00 - 165,000.00 USD. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including experience, education, certifications, skills, market conditions, internal equity, and geographic location. This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Short Term Incentive (STI).
