Responsibilities
- Perform systems engineering functions, including defining and documenting concept of operations, operational/system requirements, and use cases to support system development.
- Perform high-level system design, specifying system/component performance and interface requirements, and developing installation, integration, and acceptance test plans.
- Continuously assess existing organizational processes and work products to ensure they best facilitate strategic and tactical efforts.
- Cook with customers, project teams, and related organizations to ensure solutions satisfy the requirements.
- Define and communicate a shared technical and architectural vision for the solutions developed by the product teams.
Qualifications/Requirements
- TS/SCI with Full-Scope Poly
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering plus three (3) years of relevant experience, OR Master’s degree plus one (1) year of relevant experience, OR Doctoral degree with no experience
- Experience: With a degree in a relevant technical field (for example, computer science, mathematics, or physics), entry is with a Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience, or a Master's or Doctoral degree plus 1 year of relevant experience
- Relevant experience must be in engineering systems over their lifecycle (for example, conception, design & development, testing, production, distribution/deployment, operation, maintenance & support, decommissioning)
- For all above degrees, if program is not ABET accredited, it must include specified coursework
- Specified coursework includes courses in differential and integral calculus and 5 of the following 18 areas:
- (a) statics or dynamics,
- (b) strength of materials/stress-strain relationships,
- (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics,
- (d) thermodynamics,
- (e) electromagnetic fields,
- (f) nature and properties of materials/relating particle and aggregate structure to properties,
- (g) solid state electronics,
- (h) microprocessor applications,
- (i) computer systems,
- (j) signal processing,
- (k) digital design,
- (l) systems and control theory,
- (m) circuits or generalized circuits,
- (n) communication systems,
- (o) power systems,
- (p) computer networks,
- (q) software development,
- (r) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, or soil mechanics.

Pay
The projected compensation range for this position is $83,499 - $198,863 (annualized USD).
