Systems Engineer - Hardware
About the Role
We are seeking a Hardware Systems Engineer to support the development of Advanced Processing systems within our Mission Systems team. This role involves deriving requirements, supporting hardware development, integrating products, and ensuring technical integrity while adhering to organizational processes and schedules.
The engineer will leverage Digital Transformation tools, model-based engineering, test automation, and Agile practices to drive innovation. Collaboration across disciplines, contribution to product development, and support for hardware, software, and firmware integration are key aspects of this position.
Responsibilities
- Derive and manage system requirements for Advanced Processing systems.
- Support hardware development and integration efforts.
- Ensure technical integrity of products and adherence to organizational processes and schedules.
- Utilize Digital Transformation tools, model-based engineering, and test automation.
- Apply Agile practices to drive innovation in product development.
- Collaborate across disciplines to support hardware, software, and firmware integration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Systems Engineering (or related field) with at least 2 years of experience, or a master’s degree.
- Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
- Effective communication skills.
Schedule
This is a full-time, onsite role based in Owego, NY.
