Systems Engineer, Ground Support Equipment

hackajob is collaborating with Lockheed Martin to connect them with exceptional professionals for a Systems Engineer role supporting the F-35 program within the Ground Support Equipment (GSE) portfolio.

About the role

On the development Engineering team, you will help tackle the world’s most important and complex challenges by providing solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. This position requires a candidate who is a U.S. Citizen and has the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform under general supervision to complete milestones associated with specific projects.
• Support risk assessments and risk mitigation plans, including balancing technical risks between systems.
• Manage key aspects of the technical implementation of the program by collaborating across disciplines to ensure technical parameters, interfaces, and assumptions are consistent, and interfacing with stakeholders (e.g., engineering, technical staff, client) to ensure program goals are met.
• Orchestrate cross-functional collaboration opportunities to ensure best practices and domain knowledge are shared.
• Perform hardware/software troubleshooting.
• Support and provide guidance on operations and maintenance, including definition and communication of complete test, integration, and checkout plans for new capabilities.
• Work continuously and cross-functionally to analyze, test, and iterate technical requirements, user stories, and operations concepts.
• Provide technical direction and clarification of requirements within the DevSecOps team.
• May support and lead engineering proposal efforts.
• May require increased on-site presence in a secondary Lockheed Martin location in support of classified program activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Systems, or other related field.
• Experience developing system requirements, interfaces, and architectures, preferably using MBSE tools and techniques.
• Experience performing systems integration.

• Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Proposal Writing (BOE creation, management).
• GSE-specific Systems Engineering.
• Hardware Engineering.
• Experience working with JPO or USAF customers/systems.
• EPDM (Enterprise Products Data Management).
• CATIA v5, PDM.
• CAMEO.
• Experience with Atlassian JIRA.

Schedule

This position follows a 4x10-hour day schedule, with 3 days off per week. The employee will work part of their schedule remotely and part on-site at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
