About the Role

As a Systems Engineer, you will support the installation, configuration, integration, and validation of enterprise-class software and hardware systems across U.S. Navy platforms. This role is critical to warfighter readiness and fleet modernization, operating on-site at Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC PAC) within the Naval Integration and Engineering Facility (NIEF). You will collaborate with engineers, technicians, and cybersecurity professionals to execute Pre-Installation Test and Checkout (PITCO) procedures in compliance with Navy configuration control and cybersecurity standards.

Noblis MSD is a trusted partner to the U.S. Navy, delivering mission-driven engineering, systems integration, and modernization support for afloat and ashore platforms. At our Network Integration Engineering Facility (NIEF) in San Diego, we support the deployment and validation of critical shipboard systems, including CANES, ADNS, MSC, and other enterprise IT architectures.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy and configure mission systems across UNCLASS, SECRET, and SR enclaves in compliance with Navy CICD pipelines and TDPs, ensuring cybersecurity and operational readiness.
  • Conduct pre-deployment system validations, including Government Acceptance Testing (GAT) and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), to verify hardware integrity and operational conformity.
  • Execute system integration and configuration for core infrastructure components (servers, network switches, routers, VTC endpoints, endpoint protection platforms) to ensure secure and resilient performance.
  • Enforce cybersecurity compliance by applying DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and hardening frameworks in alignment with DoD IA standards.
  • Install, configure, and maintain enterprise-level services and monitoring systems, including WSUS, SCOM, MECM, SIEM, ACAS, ESS, NCVI, and Cross Domain Solution Architectures (CDSA).
  • Perform end-user system provisioning, including imaging, system state snapshots, and final configuration documentation to support integrated capability delivery.
  • Maintain coordination with system engineers and cyber specialists, adhering to Navy network architecture standards, software deployment procedures, and configuration management protocols.

Requirements

  • Current active-duty service member eligible for the DOD SkillBridge Program.
  • Secret clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
  • Operational proficiency in virtualization technologies (VMware ESXi, vSphere) and working knowledge of Windows/Linux system configuration for multi-domain network operations.
  • Foundational and advanced network security principles, including access control, segmentation, and secure configuration per DoD IA and RMF guidelines.
  • High attention to operational detail, ensuring accuracy in technical execution and compliance with configuration baselines.
  • Discipline in adhering to structured frameworks, checklists, TTPs, and documented engineering workflows.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a SkillBridge internship at NIWC PAC or equivalent Navy IT environment (desired).
  • Hands-on experience with Navy IT systems or shipboard network integration (desired).
  • Knowledge of CICD documentation, STIG compliance, and system administration principles (desired).
  • CompTIA Security+ or DoD 8570-compliant certification (desired).
  • Experience with CANES, ADNS, or tactical afloat networks (desired).
  • Familiarity with NIWC PAC lab environments and configuration management (desired).
  • Military job code similar to NAVY IT1 or IT2 (e.g., NEC 2790, 2780, 2735, 2710).

Benefits

Noblis offers a comprehensive total rewards package, including:

  • Health, life, disability, financial, and retirement benefits.
  • Paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, and work-life programs.
  • Award programs recognizing exceptional performance and superior demonstration of service standards.
