Systems Engineer (Cloud Engineer) [Expert Level] - $179k-$199k

About the role

Support two secure cloud-based applications and their infrastructure as part of a multidisciplinary team including developers, cybersecurity engineers, DBAs, and system architects.

Responsibilities

• Design and integrate cloud systems and services
• Support firewall and network infrastructure
• Configure, patch, and maintain Linux systems
• Partner with security engineers to remediate vulnerabilities
• Identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies
• Participate in an on-call rotation after one year on the team

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
• 11–16 years of relevant systems engineering experience
• Strong Linux command-line administration
• Experience with Bash and Python scripting
• Hands-on scripting experience
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience per program requirements)

Preferred Skills

• AWS cloud experience
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
• Configuration management tools (CloudFormation, Puppet, Groovy)
• Networking and firewall troubleshooting
• Web Application Firewall (WAF) administration
• Cloud/non-cloud network integration
• AIDE and configuration monitoring tools
• Experience supporting COTS tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager, Nexus, and Jenkins

Schedule

• Core hours: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM, with flexible start/end times
• On-call duty phone rotation after one year
• Occasional on-site response to system issues may be required
