Primary Responsibilities

  • Have a strong understanding of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities.
  • Experience in designing, developing and implementing software systems, applications, and related products.
  • Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and general software management best practices.
  • Working technical knowledge of current networks, software protocols, Internet standards.
  • Working technical knowledge of current programming languages.
  • Able to capture requirements at both the management and technical level and break those requirements down into measurable/testable user stories.

Basic Qualifications

  • A Bachelor or Master's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrate professional experience in a technical field.
  • Experience with Systems Engineering Lifecycle processes and practices.
  • Hands on experience with some coding/scripting languages.

Desired Skills

  • Experience working within a cloud environment, AWS preferred.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Highly self-motivated with keen attention to detail.
  • Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with different software development methodologies such as Agile, Kanban and Rapid Prototyping.
  • Experience with collaboration and tracking tools such as Confluence and Jira.
  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Whiteboard Federal is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide mission-critical support to our customers. The ideal candidate has the business knowledge and technical expertise to implement strategies, evaluate products, and build upon an infrastructure that supports the changing needs of our customers. In this role, the systems engineer will design, develop, and integrate complex work systems for every stage of a lifecycle.
