Systems Engineer

About the role

XMSTART is always looking to add experienced and strategic full-time Systems Engineers to our team, in Chantilly, VA or Washington, DC. These positions are 100% onsite.

Requirements

• Security Clearance Requirements: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required
• Education: Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Qualifications

• Technical experience with Intelligence Community (IC) analytic tools
• Familiarity with system development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Experience with systems integration and configuration
• Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) and scripting
• Proficiency in operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux) and network protocols

Responsibilities

• Analyze user needs and system requirements
• Develop system architectures and specifications
• Integrate hardware and software components to create functional systems
• Install, configure, and test system components
• Develop and maintain documentation, such as technical specifications and user manuals
• Ensure compatibility and interoperability of systems
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
• Implement updates, patches, and upgrades as needed
• Optimize system processes to improve efficiency and reliability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, network engineers, and project managers
• Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Provide training and support to end-users
• Ensure systems comply with industry standards and organizational policies
• Implement security measures to protect system integrity and data
