Systems Engineer

You will take ownership of a diverse computing ecosystem, bridging the gap between legacy on-premises systems and modern Azure cloud environments. The Role You will manage the reliability and evolution of a live production environment. This autonomous role requires a balance of long-term architectural redesign, capacity planning, and advanced technical troubleshooting. Core Responsibilities Systems Architecture: Design, troubleshoot, and overhaul enterprise infrastructure across mixed Windows and Linux environments.Virtualization & Storage: Oversee physical-to-virtual (P2V) migrations and manage high-performance storage configurations.Security & Networking: Maintain perimeter defenses through firewall administration, log analysis, and standard network management (VPN, TCP/IP).Automation: Author custom automation scripts from scratch to optimize daily operations and deployments.Business Continuity: Configure robust server clustering and failover protocols to ensure maximum environment uptime. Requirements Experience: 5+ years designing Windows Server environments; solid exposure to Linux platforms.Technical Skills: Deep familiarity with VMware ESX, enterprise storage (Pure Storage, VSAN), and Office 365.Core Competencies: Fluent in writing PowerShell scripts from scratch; strong grasp of LAN/WAN and firewall policy adjustments.Preferred: Knowledge of SQL Server configuration using "Always On" availability groups.Logistics: Direct-hire position based at the US headquarters.
