Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer or Senior Systems Engineer to join a high functioning Infrastructure team. In this role, you will serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert for enterprise virtualization, storage, and data center platforms, helping design, implement, and support the infrastructure that powers critical business operations. The ideal candidate will bring deep systems engineering expertise, a passion for technology, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Location: Onsite Southern Minnesota 4 days onsite / 1 day remote Salary: $145K+ bonus No work visa sponsorship available; no C2C, thank you Benefits Base salary + bonus potentialMedical, dental, visionPension planProfit sharing401(k)Relocation assistancepaid personal time (PTO)FREE two-year community/technical college tuition for children of employees, and more Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and optimize enterprise virtualization, compute, and storage platforms.Manage physical server infrastructure, storage systems, SAN environments, zoning, multipathing, replication, and related technologies.Maintain secure, stable, and highly available infrastructure environments aligned with industry best practices.Develop lifecycle management strategies, including capacity planning, performance optimization, upgrades, hardware refreshes, and technology roadmaps.Design and validate data protection, business continuity, replication, and disaster recovery solutions.Troubleshoot complex virtualization, storage, compute, and infrastructure performance issues.Evaluate and implement technologies that enhance reliability, availability, security, performance, and operational efficiency.Document operational procedures, security standards, and change management processes.Collaborate with infrastructure teams, vendors, and external partners to support enterprise technology initiatives.Assist with infrastructure planning, budgeting, and long-term capacity forecasting. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.7+ years of experience designing, implementing, supporting, and engineering enterprise infrastructure environments.Extensive experience with enterprise virtualization technologies and management platforms.Experience administering enterprise server, storage, and SAN environments, including performance monitoring, capacity planning, replication, and disaster recovery.Strong understanding of storage networking concepts, including Fibre Channel, iSCSI, zoning, multipathing, and replication.Proven ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues in large-scale environments.Demonstrated leadership, initiative, project ownership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.Adaptability and willingness to learn emerging technologies.Ability to participate in after-hours support, maintenance windows, and upgrade activities as required.Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship requirements. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting multiple enterprise hypervisor platforms.Experience administering Windows and Linux server environments.Experience managing enterprise storage, SAN, backup, and data protection platforms.Experience designing and implementing replication, business continuity, and disaster recovery architectures.Knowledge of enterprise infrastructure architecture, networking fundamentals, and TCP/IP protocols.Experience supporting highly available, business-critical production environments.
