About the Role
Lead Systems Engineer responsible for leading systems engineering efforts across platforms or programs.
Responsibilities
- Oversee requirements management, technical integration, system performance, and lifecycle execution.
- Translate architectural vision into technical plans.
- Manage technical risks and lead design reviews, requirements validation, and system verification.
- Coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration and collaboration.
- Develop technical documentation, metrics, and roadmaps.
- Mentor team members and foster professional growth.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Support testing and integration activities.
- Serve as the technical interface for customers and leadership.
- Manage engineering activities and support process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 9 years of relevant experience, or a graduate degree with 7 years of experience, or 13 years of experience without a degree.
- Experience leading system integration in airborne or lab environments.
- Active Security+ certification required.
- Preferred: Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
Skills
- Strong technical leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in system architecture, analysis, modeling, and project management.
- Experience with requirements traceability, risk mitigation, and technical decision-making.
- Hands-on testing and integration experience.
- Ability to work independently and mentor others.
Additional Details
- Role may involve travel and on-call work.
- Requires a security clearance.
