Role Description
Sentar is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the U.S. Air Force’s Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD)/Sentinel program based in Huntsville, AL. This role involves replacing the Minuteman III missile and includes analyzing user requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications. The Systems Engineer will lead design and development activities, incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into ongoing operations, and develop technical documentation and system architecture documentation. They will also interact with the team regarding systems engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues, or conflicts, ensuring the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables.
Qualifications
- Cleared with active DoD Secret clearance obtained or adjudicated within the past 6 years and SAP/SCI eligibility
- Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline
- SE 0: No experience required
- SE 1: 5 years' experience
- SE 2: 10 years' experience
- SE 3: 15 years' experience
- 4 years of additional experience may be substituted for Bachelor's Degree
- Modeling with Cameo Enterprise Architecture
- Experience with SysML, UML, or DoDAF modeling languages
- Familiarity with Agile, C/C++, and real-time processing
- Experience with full software life-cycle: specification, design, implementation, integration, debug, and maintenance
- Experience with JIRA/Confluence
- Experience with safety critical and nuclear critical software development
- Familiarity with a structured process-driven software development environment including peer reviews of all work products, using a revision control system, defect tracking, and build/release practices
- Experience with Git products
- Experience with applied automated testing techniques including unit and integration testing
- Experience with test frameworks and applications/systems verification
