Systems Engineer

About the role

The Senior Systems Engineer in Directory Services provides expert-level support and strategic oversight in accordance with the SIE OPORD.

Responsibilities

• Lead the integration of Active Directory infrastructure with network, security, messaging, remote access, and virtual environments to ensure seamless functionality.
• Develop and enforce best practices for Windows infrastructure support.
• Oversee the entire life-cycle of critical IT services, including planning, deployment, and maintenance.
• Architect and administer RBAC permissions within a multi-tenant enterprise environment.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to Directory Service administrators, imparting essential knowledge to bolster the SIE.
• Drive innovation and the adoption of new technologies to augment the SIE's mission readiness.
• Manage a geographically dispersed array of sites with multiple domain controllers across various networks, ensuring high availability and resilience.

Requirements

• A DoW security clearance at the TS/SCI level
• DoW 8570 IAT II Certification
• DoW 8140 compliant under the Work Role Code 451 - Systems Administrator
• Mastery of system engineering processes and techniques
• Experience with Active Directory delegation and security models
• Extensive experience in designing and deploying Active Directory, Domain Controller Management, DFS, and RBAC in large-scale environments (exceeding 80K users)

Qualifications

• Intermediate - Intermediate level or higher by 1 Oct 26
• Minimum 12 years with HS degree, 10 years with AS/AA degree, 8 years with BS/BA, 6 years with MS/MA, or 3 years with PhD

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
• Microsoft Certified Expert related to candidate's work area
• Nutanix Certified Advanced Professional
• Microsoft 365 Certified Enterprise Administration Expert
• Azure Solutions Architect
• Azure DevOps Engineer
