Systems Engineer

About the role

You are part of the professional team delivering projects at clients’ sites. You will elaborate architectures and designs based on customer requirements, perform audits, suggest improvements through technical product presentations and demos, and work closely with our presales team and the client to clarify the scope of work.

Responsibilities

• Resolve incidents and problems raised by the customer and escalate to providers when necessary.
• Discover and test new solutions and perform customer technical product training.
• Obtain technical certifications for VMWare, Microsoft, and other vendors.
• Communicate with the client and/or project manager on project evolution.
• Write documentation and ensure project acceptance by the client.
• Elaborate, implement, and maintain customized solutions to meet customer needs.
• Participate in projects and coordinate activities.

Requirements

• Good knowledge of Storage – DAS, SAN, NAS (HPE is a plus).
• Proven experience with VMWare virtualisation technologies.
• Experience with Back-up systems (tape library, virtual tape library, backup to disk; Veeam is a plus).
• Proven experience with Microsoft technologies (Windows Servers, Exchange, Office 365, Active Directory).
• Strong knowledge of VDI solutions (VMWare Horizon is a plus).
• Good experience with PowerShell scripting.
• Excellent analytical and editorial skills with the ability to assess situations.
• Proactive, independent, accurate, and aware of the importance of deadlines.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in Dutch, French, and English.
• Able to constantly improve your knowledge to meet industry requirements.
• Good time management skills and the ability to adapt to different environments.
• Strong communicator who respects engagements.

Schedule

• Full-time contract (39 hours/week).
• 6 days free for work time reduction.
