Systems Engineer
About the role
KBR’s Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) team supports the Space Systems Command (SSC) MUOS programs. This role involves applying Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and techniques to support architecture development, digital engineering initiatives, and program milestones.
Responsibilities
- Execute MBSE model development to support architecture development and digital engineering initiatives in support of program milestones
- Apply MBSE tools and techniques to capture system functions, services, interfaces, requirements, and concept of operations to support system design
- Support requirements analysis and functional allocation to hardware, software, operator and other segments and components of the system(s) within the models
- Production of model views, including DoDAF products, to support program milestones and documentation
- Enable the generation of systems engineering documentation for requirements, ICDs, systems design, CONOPS, verification and test
- Supporting analysis activities utilizing MBSE models and tools such as Cameo
- Developing study plans for architecture development and special trade studies
- Collaborating with prime contractors, other team contractors, government civilians, and members of the U.S. Space Force
- Managing the program’s DE collaboration suite using Confluence and JIRA applications
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- 2+ years’ experience in digital systems design and integration
- Experience in systems architecture using Cameo Systems Modeler or similar application
- Proficiency in MBSE methodologies and tools (SysML, UML)
Qualifications
- Active SECRET clearance
Skills
- Masters Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (Desired)
- Familiarity with coding languages (Python, JavaScript), and secure systems design (Desired)

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
