Systems Engineer

Job Duties

• Perform in a supervisor role for engineers involved in the development, testing, integration, and sustainment of specialized and diverse software, electronic, and/or mechanical equipment, and systems
• Determine test objectives, instrumentation, and data requirements
• Write test planning documents, schedule program activities, track funding and expenditures, plan and conduct test missions, analyze resultant data, document results in test reports, statistical evaluations and briefing presentations
• Direct interface with internal and external customers at all levels from quotation to final design
• Act as liaison for test activities, design reviews, and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications
• Generate complete design specifications for more complex projects
• Coincide and work closely with other engineering, logistics, financial, and program management disciplines to define system specifications and requirements
• Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures
• Prepare, deliver, and submit technical papers and perform engineering studies
• Support development of technical proposals and provide comments on the technical content and level of effort of the proposed scope of work
• Act as a company/industry expert resource on the most complex engineering problems
• Maintain technical project responsibility for assigned tasks and advise management of progress in support of the technical and administrative direction of project operations
• Develop, interpret, and implement technical and administrative operating policies and procedures
• Conduct site visits and experimental investigations and analyze engineering problems, propose solutions and alternatives, and provide recommendations

Requirements

• Education, Technical, And Work Experience: A Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited academic institution and eight (8) years of related engineering experience, or an accredited Master of Science in Engineering and a minimum of six (6) years of related engineering experience, or an accredited doctorate degree in engineering and a minimum four (4) years of related engineering experience are required for this position.
• Comprehensive knowledge of concepts, principles, and practices of engineering to provide consultative services on development programs and in the design and development of systems and components
• Working knowledge of computer systems and computer-based engineering tools
• Well-developed leadership skills
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Planning/organizational skills and the ability to work under deadlines

Salary

The expected salary range for this position is $103,000 to $163,000 annually. Note: The salary range offered for this position is a good faith description of the expected salary range this role will pay. JT4, LLC considers factors such as (but not limited to) responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.
