Responsibilities
- Translate product and platform requirements into clear, testable system-level definitions
- Own system design of controller hardware, including I/O, communication interfaces, and machine integration
- Define system interface requirements and constraints (timing, power, safety, thermal) across subsystems
- Maintain end-to-end requirements traceability from concept through validation and release
- Identify risks, integration issues, and system-level challenges early in the design process
- Collaborate with Test and QA teams to define validation criteria and verify system readiness
- Use field data and system telemetry to validate design performance and drive continuous improvement
- Partner with global engineering, product, and cross-functional teams to support development and execution

- 5+ years of experience in systems, controls, or embedded engineering
Core Competencies:
- Strong understanding of embedded controller systems and hardware platforms
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (CAN, RS485, SPI/I2C)
- Experience with system requirements development and traceability tools (ALM/PLM)
- Familiarity with regulatory and safety standards (UL, IEC, ISO, EMI/EMC)
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts across multidisciplinary teams
Preferences
- Experience with embedded systems (microcontrollers, RTOS, embedded Linux)
- Familiarity with model-based systems engineering or hardware-in-the-loop testing
- Exposure to power electronics, motor controls, or drive systems
- Experience with system-level risk analysis (DFMEA, hazard analysis)
