Systems Engineer

About the role

Execute end-to-end systems engineering activities, applying critical thinking to resolve complex, system-of-systems engineering challenges in an Agile environment.

• Develop, analyze, and manage system requirements throughout the full software development lifecycle
• Utilize IBM DOORS (9.7.x) to manage requirement data, including establishing traceability links and creating objects within modules
• Work dynamically within an Agile environment, attending regular scrum meetings and leveraging Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO) for requirement tracking
• Assimilate and align system requirements with other critical functional areas, specifically Software Safety, Test, and Cybersecurity
• Author, review, and maintain accurate technical documentation and specifications

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience, or 6 years of additional experience in lieu of a degree
• Active Interim Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• Strong background supporting systems engineering across the complete software development lifecycle
• Hands-on experience with IBM DOORS (9.7.x) for active data and requirement management
• Experience using Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO) for requirements support is highly desired
• Proven ability to analyze complex requirements and understand their cascading impacts on software testing, system safety, and cyber defense protocols
