Systems Engineer

About the role

Serve as the technical authority for complex systems spanning cloud and customer environments. Dezign Concepts is seeking a hands-on Systems Engineer (SME) with deep expertise across infrastructure, platforms and application ecosystems spanning cloud and customer environments, and to serve as a technical authority for complex system issues.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and document as-is infrastructure, platform, and application architecture
• Create detailed engineering design for modernization, optimization and transformation initiatives working with System and Cloud Architect
• Lead and execute cloud and system implementations, migrations and upgrades
• Ensure systems meet availability, scalability, performance, security, and compliance requirements
• Integrate infrastructure and platforms with DevOps and DevSecOps pipelines
• Troubleshoot complex, cross-stack issues within the infrastructure, platforms and applications
• Collaborate across multiple teams and stakeholders to address and escalate complete system issues
• Develop technical documentation, diagrams, standards and associated documents
• Brief leadership, translate technical issues into business impact

Requirements

• Active Top Secret with Polygraph clearance
• Demonstrated experience performing hands-on systems engineering across network, compute, storage, operating systems, middleware, databases, and applications
• Experience analyzing and documenting as-is infrastructure, platform, and application architecture
• Experience creating detailed engineering design from modernization, optimization and transformation initiatives working with System and Cloud Architect
• Experience leading and executing cloud and system implementations, migrations and upgrades
• Experience integrating infrastructure and platforms with DevOps and DevSecOps pipelines
• Experience troubleshooting complex, cross-stack issues within the infrastructure, platforms and applications
• Experience collaborating across multiple teams and stakeholders to address and escalate complete system issues
• Experience developing technical documentation, diagrams, standards and associated documents
• Ability to brief leadership, translate technical issues into business impact
• Strong understanding of IT operations, including experience with Splunk and SCCM environments

Pay
