Responsibilities
- Support the operation and maintenance of ground segment system engineering architecture/design
- Analyze and implement key interface control documents by tracing to ground requirements and design
- Support trade studies, performance analyses, risk and opportunity assessments
- Oversee and guide the management of ground segment capabilities/requirements – allocation, verification, and validation
- Provide support to ground segment software development and cyber security initiatives
- Analysis and establishment of verification attributes for requirements/capabilities (Verification Test method, level, approach, success criteria, and Test Requirements)
- Use case development, and trace artifacts to architecture constructs
- Provide leadership / mentorship of technical teams to define, direct implementation, and operate complex ground systems
- Engineer support across multiple and diverse mission partners by tailoring concepts to meet mission partner needs
- Prepare and give presentations to peers/management/customers
- Work collaboratively in a cross-discipline environment with both the internal Ground segment team and external customers to maintain a positive and productive work environment
Requirements
- Associate Engineer (CT7): Entry-level to experienced, but still a learner typically with an advanced degree and 0 years experience or bachelors degree and 0-2+ years experience or equivalent
- Engineer 1 (CT8): Career level typically with an advanced degree and 3+ years experience or bachelors with 5+ years experience or equivalent
- Senior Engineer (CT9): Emerging authority typically with an advanced degree and 7+ years experience or bachelors with 9+ years experience or equivalent; applies extensive expertise
- Principal Engineer (CT10): Expert, authority in discipline typically with an advanced degree and 12+ years experience or bachelors with 14+ years experience or equivalent
- Engine Consultant (CT11): Senior consultant to top management typically with an advanced degree and 18+ years experience or bachelors with 20+ years experience or equivalent

Pay
The proposed salary range for this position in Maryland is $75,000 to $260,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
