Systems Engineer
About the role
The Systems Engineer will provide in-depth analysis and technical support for systems software products, ensuring seamless integration and user support. They will also assist in planning and conversion for new hardware/software products, maintain currency and configure related software products, and support analysis and design of A2R related systems and integrations.
Responsibilities
- Contributes to the design, integration, and validation of asset lifecycle systems and data flows.
- Supports development and testing of interfaces, asset data processing, and automation components to improve financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Afford assistance in implementing asset lifecycle interfaces and data flows.
- Afford assistance in implementing integrations between EBS and external systems (ELMS/DPAS).
- Develop and support RICE FW components (interfaces, conversions, reports).
- Afford automation of capitalization and asset accounting processes.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation checks, and integration support across systems.
- Identify and resolve data inconsistencies as well as interface and processing issues.
- Support Development Integration Testing (DIT), System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Contribute to technical documentation, interface control documents (ICDs), and data mapping artifacts.
- Collaborate with functional teams to align solutions with A2R process requirements.
Requirements
- Active DOD Secret Clearance.
- Eight (8) years of experience in systems engineering or software development.
- Relevant certification required.
- Experience with web applications, XML, XSD, and database technologies.
- Experience with System integrations and data processing workflows.
- Familiarity with Oracle EBS or similar ERP systems executing asset or financial data processing concepts.
- Experience supporting data validation, reconciliation, and system testing.
- Experience working in Agile environments.
- Oral presentation experience and excellent oral and written communication skills.
Qualifications
- Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies.
Skills
- Exposure to Oracle Projects, Fixed Assets, or Inventory modules.
- Familiarity with asset lifecycle processes (A2R, CIP/WIP).
- Experience with BI/reporting tools for asset analytics.
- Basic understanding of audit readiness, valuation, and completeness controls.
