About the role

The Systems Engineer will play a crucial role in the development and execution of the next generation of combat aircraft, working closely with program team members, suppliers, and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Support system architecture development and decomposition using MBSE (SysML/Cameo).
  • Maintain alignment within the program team, suppliers, and customers.
  • Support the program in implementing MBSE as part of the broader digital engineering ecosystem.
  • Manage changes to statements of work and conduct impact analysis.
  • Provide technical, business, and integration leadership for program development and execution.

Requirements

  • Education: A Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • Experience: 5+ years of related engineering experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 3+ years with a Master’s degree.
  • Technical Skills: Prior Systems Engineering experience, including system design, functional decomposition, requirements development, analysis, verification, and validation. 3+ years of experience with MBSE, Cameo/MSOSA, and/or SysML.

Qualifications

  • Experience in one of the following areas: planning and execution of verification, certification, or acceptance testing; decomposition of government or customer standards and development of certification or integrity plans; or development of deliverables requiring coordination across multiple engineering disciplines.

Skills

  • Experience developing and/or managing program baselines.
  • Demonstrated experience developing system architectures for complex aerospace vehicles or subsystems using MBSE (SysML/MSOSA).
  • Prior leadership in system architecture or lead systems engineering roles.
  • Understanding of various engineering analyses, including affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, and system security.
  • Background in systems engineering processes such as RIO and TPM management.
