Systems Engineer – Algorithms (ONSITE)

About the role

Raytheon Company, Managed By Collins Aerospace at RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company, seeks an Algorithms Systems Engineer to support the Joint Precision Approach and Landing System (JPALS) program.

Responsibilities

• Test algorithms and models for the JPALS program
• Develop the necessary tools to accomplish sufficient testing
• Work on multiple tasks in a software development environment
• Conduct analysis for system trouble shooting and analysis
• Improve code quality by performing code reviews and good software practice

Requirements

• You must have proficiency in MATLAB; code optimization and numerical stability
• You must understand basic software development principles – configuration control, collaborative development, formal processes
• You must have experience in reading and developing algorithm descriptions, mathematical expressions and derivations, matrix manipulations, outlier analysis, and system level analysis
• You must have experience in performing data analysis and problem solving (e.g. anomaly investigation)
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
• Ability to obtain a SECRET Security Clearance

Qualifications

• You must have Experience in the systems engineering discipline
• You must have Experience performing complex statistical analysis and/or mathematical modeling
• You must have Experience performing model driven design using Simulink and auto generated code
• You must have Experience with development of solutions to GPS Navigation Systems
• You must be Willing to travel and do field work
