About the role
The Central Region Systems Engineering organization within Northrop Grumman Space Systems seeks a Systems Engineer - Level 5 based out of Aurora, CO. This position requires being onsite and does not support remote or hybrid work.
Responsibilities
- Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
- Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
- Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Requirements
- Must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance at the time of application.
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of relevant experience; 10 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree; 8 years of relevant experience with a PhD.
- Experience with requirements development, decomposition, software verification, and generating system and segment-level test procedures.
- Experience working on Agile programs and methodology.
- Experience using Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence).
- Experience with Cameo and DOORS.
- Strong written and oral communications skills.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with full engineering life cycle and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Experience with Cameo, STK, Python, MATLAB, Automated Testing.
Skills
- Full engineering life cycle knowledge.
- Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) expertise.
- Atlassian tool proficiency (Jira and Confluence).
- Cameo and DOORS familiarity.
- Agile program and methodology experience.
- Software verification and testing skills.

Pay
Annual salary range: $177,000.00 - $265,600.00
