Systems Engineer 3 - Cisco/Juniper/Arista/Windows/Linux/Kubernetes/Security

About the role

Captivation Software is seeking a mid-level Systems Engineer with expertise in System Administration Automation, management, and security compliance. The ideal candidate will focus on maintaining system integrity, performance, and security for critical client/server environments, requiring strong problem-solving and communication skills. This role involves working with a small, mission-focused team that frequently interacts with users and the customer.

This position is open for direct hires only; third-party staffing or recruiting firms will not be considered.

Requirements

• Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph (U.S. citizenship required)
• Bachelor’s degree in a Qualified Engineering Field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university
• Six (6) years of systems engineering experience

Skills

• Strong System Engineering and System Administration
• Strong knowledge of Security Compliance
• Strong knowledge of networking devices (Cisco, Juniper, Arista)
• System Administration skills for Windows/Linux
• Familiarity with Kubernetes/containerization
• Experience with Active Directory, LDAP, Centrify, Group Policy, Network Services
• Strong knowledge of security protocols and patching
• Communication and escalation of issues to management

Benefits

• Annual Salary: $130,000 - $270,000 (depends on years of experience)
