About the role

Worldwide Operations Security is seeking a Systems Development Engineer to design and build next-generation video analytics and security infrastructure for fulfillment teams globally. You will develop cloud-based video analytics solutions using leading AI engines such as Amazon Bedrock and Rekognition, deploy and maintain video capabilities worldwide, and deliver secure, scalable, and maintainable systems. This hands-on role spans strategic planning, new system development, and customer support within an agile workflow.

Responsibilities

Create cloud-based video analytics solutions for internal stakeholders.
Drive operational excellence by delivering cost-effective, highly available systems.
Design and implement scalable infrastructure automation tools to maximize global Operations video security infrastructure efficiency.
Ensure products are secure, robust, scalable, maintainable, and adaptable as services evolve.
Build instrumentation for visibility, alerting, and self-healing capabilities.
Uphold high standards of code quality and engineering excellence.

About The Team

The Video Management Systems (VMS) are critical tools for associate safety and facility security. The team’s vision is to make VMS infrastructure easy to deploy, consistently configured, highly available, and fully utilized. As a small, collaborative engineering team, responsibilities overlap and project work is coordinated closely with stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet their needs.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree
Experience building services using AWS products
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby
