Systems Development Engineer, RSCI Collaborative Services

About the role

This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph. The position further requires the candidate to opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain serverless and containerized systems (Lambda, Elastic Container Service (ECS) Fargate, DynamoDB, Simple Queue Service (SQS), EventBridge) deployed across multiple isolated AWS partitions
• Write and maintain infrastructure as code (Cloud Development Kit (CDK)/CloudFormation) for multi-region deployments
• Own CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation across multiple isolated regions
• Build monitoring, alarming, and observability tooling for service health across air-gapped boundaries
• Write Python and PowerShell to automate operational processes and integrate systems
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, Operational Readiness Review (ORR)s
• Coach teammates on engineering best practices and operational excellence
• Provide on-call support

Qualifications

• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
• Bachelor's degree, or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)
• 2+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering experience

Skills

• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust

Pay

$129,200.00 - $174,800.00 annually
